"I stayed at the Queens for just two nights as I was on business in the area. I checked in at around 7.30 on the first night, food was still available thankfully. The room was gorgeous, really lovely and warm, beautifully finished. The bathroom was also well done, with a gorgeous big shower. Had dinner of veggie risotto and apple crumble which was really nice. The bed was very very comfy and the breakfast was really good. I must also recommend the fish and chips, absolutely gorgeous. The staff are also fantastic and gave me a really warm welcome."

"The team at The Queen’s Hotel in St Ives is celebrating two achievements this month: firstly a prestigious rosette from the AA for its restaurant, awarded for the second year running. Secondly, the Queen’s will feature for the second year running in the popular Alastair Sawdays accommodation guidebooks, one of only three pubs in Penwith to be included, alongside The Gurnard’s Head in Zennor and The Coldstreamer, Gulval.

"An AA spokesperson said: 'These restaurants achieve standards that stand out in their local area. They serve food prepared with care, understanding and skill, using good quality ingredients. Guests can eat in with confidence and a sense of anticipation.'"

"St. Ives makes a great escape from London, partly for its spectacular seaside setting, partly for its top-shelf artistic attractions, which include a branch of London’s Tate; numerous commercial galleries; the Barbara Hepworth Museum, housed in the former studio of the great British sculptor; and the Leach Pottery. Although most visitors might come to St. Ives for its art and setting, the mix of locals, surfers and gallery types has also inspired a surprisingly vibrant culinary scene."
